Terms of Use
TruthMeter is currently a private-beta research and verification service. By using the site or submitting information, you agree to these terms.
Beta Service
Features, scope, turnaround, coverage, pricing, and availability may change. We may accept, decline, pause, or limit a request based on location, evidence, capacity, safety, or legality. Any fee and scope will be confirmed before paid work begins.
Reports Are Decision Support
A TruthMeter report reflects the information and sources reasonably available at the time. Information may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, disputed, or impossible to independently verify. A positive or neutral finding does not certify a person or business and does not guarantee vendor safety, future conduct, product quality, delivery, title, authenticity, or recovery of funds.
Your Responsibility
You remain responsible for your payment and transaction decisions. Independently confirm identities, account details, ownership, contracts, licences, physical goods, and professional advice where relevant. Do not send money solely because of a TruthMeter report.
No Legal or Financial Advice
TruthMeter provides factual research and general decision-support information, not legal, financial, investment, tax, medical, valuation, law-enforcement, or regulatory advice. Consult an appropriately qualified professional when needed.
User Submissions
You confirm that information you submit is truthful to the best of your knowledge, relevant, lawful, and shared with appropriate permission. You retain ownership of your material but grant TruthMeter permission to store, review, reproduce, and use it as reasonably necessary to deliver and improve the service, handle corrections, and comply with law.
False Reports and Misuse
Do not submit fabricated, misleading, malicious, defamatory, harassing, stolen, unlawfully obtained, or manipulated information. Do not use TruthMeter to threaten, blackmail, impersonate, stalk, discriminate against, or unfairly damage another person or business. We may reject submissions, suspend access, preserve records, or report suspected unlawful conduct.
Vendor Right of Response
Where practical and lawful, TruthMeter may contact a vendor or agent about material findings and allow a response or supporting evidence. We decide how to weigh conflicting evidence and may describe unresolved disputes in a report. A response opportunity is not an admission by either side.
Corrections
Users, vendors, and agents may request a correction and should identify the disputed statement and provide supporting evidence. We will review credible requests and may correct, qualify, update, or remove information. We are not required to remove accurate information merely because it is unfavourable.
Demo Data
Any content labelled sample, preview, fictional, or demo data is solely an illustration of the product. It is not verified production data and must not be used for a purchasing, hiring, payment, or reputation decision.
Limitation and Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the beta service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a purpose, or non-infringement. TruthMeter does not guarantee prevention of fraud or loss and is not a party to transactions between users and third parties.
Contact
Questions, responses, and correction requests should be sent through the official contact channel provided in your TruthMeter correspondence.
